Mobile Suit Gundam: GQuuuuuuX is the latest Gundam anime series, but this one is special for a variety of reasons. As aforementioned, this is a collaboration between Sunrise, now Bandai Namco Filmworks Inc., and Studio Khara, the animation studio founded by Neon Genesis Evangelion creator Hideki Anno. Kazuya Tsurumaki, who served as one of the directors for the Rebuild of Evangelion, is set to serve as the director for Mobile Suit Gundam: GQuuuuuuX, while the legendary Hideki Anno will supervise scripts for the series.
