The Orient Express is one of the longest LEGO sets available, measuring in at 46" long. The set consists of 2,540 pieces, so this discount brings the price down to just under 10 cents per brick (9.4 cents to be exact). The train itself has a familiar design not dissimilar from the Hogwarts Express, but decked in a lovely shade of blue. There are plenty of features that make it unique, like the intricately detailed booths (locomotive, dining car and sleeping car), the eight included minifigures that can only be found in this set, and its own set of customed designed tracks.
For those of you who already have or are thinking of setting up a LEGO rail system, you'll be glad to know that The Orient Express is compatible with all other LEGO track sets. Although LEGO has stated that this train was not meant to be motorized (probably because of its size and heft), both The Brick Architect and Brickset, as well as other fan-made MOCs, have shown that it can quite easily be motorized.
This set was not discounted during Black Friday or Cyber Monday and is not sold at any third party retailers like Amazon, Walmart, or Best Buy. For all of you fans of train replicas, this is your best bet to score one at a greatly reduced price.
