Harvey Kurtzman is widely regarded as one of the greatest cartoonists of all time, but there's one work he was never able to complete in his lifetime - a graphic novel adaptation of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol. Now, three decades after Kurtzman's death, that story is finally seeing print as Harvey Kurtzman's Marley's Ghost.

With Harvey Kurtzman's Marley's Ghost available in comic shops now, IGN can exclusively debut an extended preview of the book. Check it out in the slideshow gallery below:

Harvey Kurtzman's Marley's Ghost is adapted from Kurtzman's original page layouts and notes. Kurtzman originally planned the project as early as the 1950s, which would have made Marley's Ghost one of the first full-length graphic novels ever released. The completed story is written by Josh O'Neill and Shannon Wheeler and illustrated by Gideon Kendall.

Harvey Kurtzman's Marley's Ghost was originally released in digital form as part of the Comixology Originals library, where it won an Eisner for Best Digital Comic in 2018. Comixology has partnered with Ablaze Comics to bring the series to print for the first time. This collected edition includes extensive back-matter as well as a reprint of the original Dickens prose story.

Harvey Kurtzman's Marley's Ghost is available in comic shops now and will be released in bookstores on December 24. You can preorder a copy on Amazon.

In other comic book news, Invincible is returning to comics with a new Battle Beast series, and we've got the full breakdown of how Marvel Rivals' alternate skins draw from the comics.
