LEGO deals abound on Black Friday. I mean, there are literally hundreds of LEGOs on sale catered to children, kids, and adults of all ages. What I am interested in myself, however, are the big LEGO sets. These are the ones where the brick pieces number in the thousands, where your build process can take hours, and where you display is worthy to be mounted in the most prominent spot in your room. Unfortunately these happen to be the most expensive sets as well.
Black Friday is inarguably the best way to save literally hundreds of dollars on even a single LEGO set . We've seen vendors sneak us some great deals on individual sets, but they seem to expire quickly. Some examples include Star Wars Ultimate Collector Series sets like the Razor Crest, or Landspeeder, the Marvel Spider-Man's Daily Bugle, or the LEGO Art Amazing Spider-Man, or incredibly intricate builds like the Technic Liebherr Crawler. Keep in mind that these deals end lightning quick and are one-and-done. If you see a set you like or is a perfect gift for a loved one, don't hesitate on purchasing it ASAP. Otherwise you might have to wait until next Black Friday.

LEGO UCS Star Wars The Razor Crest 75331
The Razor Crest 75331 consists of 6,187 pieces, which makes it the third largest Star Wars set in brick count. The resulting build is impressively large at 20" long, 29" wide, and 10" high. This is an offical Ultimate Collector Series kit and a faithful recreation of the iconic ship from The Mandalorian TV series. The detailed interior is easily accessible and features two removable engines and cockpit, two side hatches, a cargo compartment with space for the Blurrg, a weapons cabinet, a LEGO minifigure sized carbon-freezing chamber, and detachable escape pod with space for another minifig. Five minifigs are included: exclusive The Mandalorian, The Mythrol and Kuiil LEGO Star Wars minifigures, a Grogu LEGO figure in a pram, and exclususive buildable Blurrg LEGO figure.
LEGO Star Wars Luke Skywalker's Landspeeder 75341
Luke's Landspeeder is another Ultimate Collector Series set that consists of 1,890 pieces and the resulting build is impressively large at 20" long, 12" wide, and 4" high. This is a faithful recreation of Luke's X-34 Landspeeder from the original Star Wars: A New Hope movie. There are plenty of cool little details here, like the exposed engine turbine with the guts exposed, the two seater cockpit with driving stick and detailed dashboard, a large specially molded windscreen, and more. Two minifigures – Luke Skywalker with his lightsaber and electrobinoculars and C-3PO – are included. This set is a refreshing change from the largely monotone grey builds we're used to seeing in the vast majority of UCS models (not a fault of LEGO and more a product of the Star Wars universe).
LEGO Marvel Spider-Man Daily Bugle 76178
The LEGO Spider-Man Daily Bugle 76178 is LEGO's third-largest Marvel set ever and includes 25 iconic mini-figures from the Spider-Man universe. This is another impressively sized build measuring 32" tall, 10" wide, and 10" deep with a brick count of 3,789 pieces. This is a four-story rendition of the famous newspaper building, including the offices of demanding editor J. Jonah Jameson and budding photographer Peter Parker. The collection of mini-figures includes Doctor Octopus, Spider-Man, Venom, Miles Morales, Spider-Ham, Green Goblin, Peter Parker, Spider-Gwen, Mysterio, Sandman, Robbie Robertson, and even some characters unique to this set like Blade the vampire hunter, J. Jonah Jameson, Black Cat, Daredevil, and Punisher.
Normally these types of builds are meant for display and feature very little room for personal creativity, but the Daily Bugle is different. Characters and building design elements can be moved around so that you can recreate your own mini-stories and customize the action in and around the Daily Bugle. It complements the LEGO Avengers Tower, which is very similar in scale, although currently it's far more expensive.
LEGO Art The Amazing Spider-Man 31209
LEGO Art sets are interesting because they are mostly 2D sets with 3D elements that are meant to be mounted on the wall and displayed as artwork. The Amazing Spider-Man is one such example. This is one of the larger LEGO Art sets, weighing in at 2,099 bricks (including the LEGO dots). Spider-Man is the 3D element himself. His body is a second layer above the LEGO dots, and his hands are gripping the picture "frame", quite literally breaking the fourth wall. As an homage to the comic, LEGO positioned fifteen spiders through the picture to represent issue no. 15 of Amazing Fantasy in which Spider-Man first appeared in August 1962. How cool is that?
LEGO Technic Liebherr Crawler Crane LR 13000 42146
I pay respects to any hardcore LEGO enthusiast who purchases this LEGO Technic set with the intent on building it. The LEGO Techno construction vehicle sets are one of the most complicated that LEGO carries, and they're definitely not for the faint of hear. This particular model consists of "only" 2,883 pieces, which seems low for the whopping $700 retail price. That's mainly because this is motorized LEGO set and includes 2 smart hubs and 6 large motorsto power the articulated functions via an app on your smartphone. This is also one of the tallest LEGO sets, measuring 38" high from top to bottom. This set goes on sale rarely and only during special events like Black Friday or Prime Day.
