Published:Mon, 2 Dec 2024 / Source:https://www.ign.com/articles/best-cyber-monday-gaming-deals-2024

This year has delivered a wave of stellar games, and it’s easy to fall behind on your wishlist. If titles like Dragon Age: The Veilguard, Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, Stellar Blade, or Sonic X Shadow Generations are still unplayed, Cyber Monday is here to save the day.

There are also some killer discounts on PS5 and Xbox consoles, alongside gaming monitors and TVs ready and waiting to level up your setup. Whether you're treating yourself or hunting for the perfect gift, these are the top video game deals to snag this Cyber Monday 2024. No gimmicks, no nonsense—just real deals.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard for $49.99

Dragon Age: The Veilguard is down to just $49.99 in the Cyber Monday sales, or $69.99 for the Deluxe Edition. It's just for Xbox players, but at $20 off, it's still a wonderful offer and one of the best Xbox Cyber Monday deals right now. The action RPG is also down to $62.99 for those on PS5, which is a minor discount in comparison, but still worth mentioning in case you still want to pick up the game.

In their 9/10 review of the game, Leana Hafer said: "Dragon Age: The Veilguard refreshes and reinvigorates a storied series that stumbled through its middle years, and leaves no doubt that it deserves its place in the RPG pantheon. The next Mass Effect is going to have a very tough act to follow, which is not something I ever imagined I'd be saying before I got swept away on this adventure."

Xbox Series X for $380

Lenovo just slashed the price on the new Xbox Series X All-Digital Edition, making it one of the best Cyber Monday console deals around. Normally $449.99, Lenovo has it marked down to $399.99—but there’s more. Use the coupon code EXTRAFIVE to knock the price down to an unbeatable $379.99.

This isn’t your typical digital-only console. Unlike the Xbox Series S, the All-Digital Edition packs the same powerhouse performance as the original Xbox Series X, minus the disc drive. It even boasts a sleek Robot White finish and a hefty 1TB of storage, perfect for your digital library. If you’re looking for the ultimate digital gaming experience, now’s the time to grab this deal.

Xbox Controller for $35

Lenovo just dropped the best Xbox controller deal we’ve seen this Cyber Monday. Right now, you can grab the Xbox Wireless Controller in Robot White or Electric Volt for just $34.99. Prefer a different style? The Carbon Black, Shock Blue, Pulse Red, and Deep Pink variants are down to $39.99.

To snag these prices, don’t forget to apply the coupon code BFCMXBOX at checkout. These controllers are fully compatible with Xbox Series X|S consoles and PC, making them a perfect addition to your gaming setup. Don’t wait—these deals won’t stick around for long.

Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom for $30

Nintendo's Cyber Monday offerings are delivering big, and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is the crown jewel this year. Originally retailing for $69.99—the first Nintendo-published Switch game to reach that price—it’s now available for just $30 at Walmart. This incredible deal applies to just digital copies, and it's the lowest price we’ve ever seen for this critically acclaimed masterpiece.

In our 10/10 review, we called Tears of the Kingdom "an unfathomable follow-up to one of the greatest games ever made, somehow improving upon it in nearly every way – be that with simple quality-of-life improvements, a genuinely exciting story, or wildly creative new building mechanics that make you rethink what is possible." If you've been waiting to dive into Link's latest adventure, there’s no better time than now.

Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero for $50

In his IGN review, Jarrett Green said: "Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero is a final flash from the past, sometimes to a fault, as demonstrated by its archaic menus and remedial training tools. Its Episode Battles have the kind of reaction-heavy difficulty that doesn’t really exist in most games these days, more than once crossing the line between challenging and frustrating."

"But the feeling of traveling back to a simpler time when games didn’t have to be balanced or competitive to be fun is a good one, especially when that action stays so true to that of the show it’s recreating. Reliving a story that was foundational to my youth, looking and sounding as great as I remember it, with the opportunity to alter it in sometimes dramatic new ways is clever, and the addition of tools to attempt to create our own stories could elevate the experiment even further if a community can figure out how to make the most of them."

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown for $15

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is now just $14.97 on PS5 at Amazon, a significant $35 off its list price. Despite some disappointment from Ubisoft, the game has garnered praise for its classic feel and modern polish, with many critics calling it one of the better releases this year.

We gave Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown an 8/10, with reviewer Phil Hornshaw stating: "Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown captures not only what made games such as The Sands of Time so good, but it irons out a lot of the little issues that plagued the 3D games in this series by opting for a 2D perspective – and owning it.

Last Chance: PS5 Fornite Bundle for $374

If you're shopping at Amazon, PS5 Disc Edition is down to $424.99 from $500, while the Digital Edition is $374.99, originally $450. Personally, I’d go for the Disc Edition—it’s just $50 more, and you get the flexibility of physical games, which you can buy, sell, or trade later.

If you prefer the Digital Edition, the NBA 2K25 bundle is a smart pick if you can find it in stock, as it includes a game. On the other hand, the Fortnite Cobalt Star bundle, while eye-catching, doesn’t include a game—just something to keep in mind. These deals will end after Cyber Monday on December 2, so act fast to avoid disapointment.

Azul for $13.33

You can pick up a copy of Azul for only $13.33 for Cyber Monday. Many board games are about mystery or war, but Azul is totally different. Players in Azul compete to design the most beautiful tiled mosaics they can.

In our Azul review, Matt Thrower writes, "Between its beautiful presentation, simplicity and depth there’s little doubt that Azul has earned its place as a modern classic. While the tinkering with its formula undertaken by its sequels has created more challenging games, none has captured the fine blend of accessibility and interactivity that makes it special."

Stellar Blade for $49.99

PS5 gamers rejoice, because a popular exclusive game is on sale for Cyber Monday. Right now, Amazon is offering the game for only $49.99 shipped after a 30% price drop. I've seen this price once before in late October, but it sold out very quickly. Similarly, this deal will expire by the end of today.

Stellar Blade, the first stateside non-gacha from Shift Up, is a well-reviewed game that's best known for its challenging soulslike gameplay, outstanding graphics, killer soundtrack... and, of course, its suggestive character design.

Sonic X Shadow Generations for $29.99

One of our favorites that popped up during Cyber Monday is on Sonic X Shadow Generations, which is currently $20 off its release price of $49.99 to $29.99 at Amazon for PS5, Xbox Series X, and Nintendo Switch. According to camelcamelcamel, this is the lowest price yet for Sonic X Shadow Generations. So, if you've had your eye on it, now's a great time to scoop it up.

IGN's Jada Griffin had high praise for this game in our Sonic X Shadow Generations review, giving it a score of 9/10. In it, she says that, "Sonic X Shadow Generations takes an already excellent game and spring jumps it to new heights at a blistering pace by doubling up the campaign length with creative level design, fantastic bosses, plenty of collectibles, and an appreciable graphical upgrade."

RTX 4070 Gaming PC for $1199

This might very well be the best gaming PC deal of Cyber Monday. As part of its Walmart Cyber Monday Sale, Walmart is offering this iBuyPower Y40 gaming PC with AMD Ryzen 7 7700 CPU and the excellent RTX 4070 GPU for only $1199.

The RTX 4070 Super is one of the best graphics cards for most people; it's affordably priced and yet it's powerful enough to run games at up to 4K (although 1440p is its sweet spot). I personally gamed on a 4K monitor with a RTX 3080 GPU (less powerful than the RTX 4070 Super) before I upgraded. The system is contained in a nice looking Hyte Y40 midtower chassis (iBuyPower and Hyte are sister brands).

Star Wars Outlaws for $39.99

If you chose patience with Star Wars Outlaws, then here is your reward. The new Star Wars game has been discounted for Cyber Monday, now down to $39.99 on PS5 and Xbox. That's $30 off the original list price and potentially a much better offering for anyone who was unsure of the game when it launched back in late August.

The deal also features Amazon's exclusive limited edition content pack, which includes Rogue Infiltrator cosmetics for Kay and Nix. It's likely the best deal we're getting on the game before Christmas, so snap it up if you've been waiting for a sale or want to gift it to someone over the holidays.

Best TV for PS5/Xbox

Amazon is offering the popular 65" LG Evo C3 4K OLED TV for only $1196.99. This is the best price right now for a 65" LG C-series OLED TV.

This TV and others in LG's C-series lineup have won top spots in several of our buying guides, including best 4K TV, best TV for gaming, and best TV for PS5 or Xbox.

This is an especially good choice if you picked up any current-gen console, especially the PS5 Pro, since most current hardware will be able to run plenty of games at 4K @ 120fps.

DualSense Controllers for $54

DualSense controllers are now just $54.99, a significant drop from their usual $74.99 MSRP. Even better, special edition models, featuring unique designs, are also discounted to $59.99. This marks one of the best deals we’ve seen on DualSense controllers in quite some time, making it a great opportunity to pick one up—or even grab a spare for multiplayer gaming.

Whether you're upgrading your PlayStation setup or hunting for a holiday gift, this Black Friday offer delivers exceptional value. With discounts this good, it’s the perfect time to invest in a high-quality controller that enhances every gaming experience.

PS5 2TB SSD for $133.99

Amazon has dropped the 2TB WD Black SN850X PS5 SSD with Heatsink down to just $133.99 for Cyber Monday, and tremendous deal this year and one of the best SSD deals we've had since Prime Day.

WD Black SN850X is one of the best-performing PCIe 4.0 SSDs on the market; this is not only the best SSD for your PlayStation 5 console, but it can also be a blazing-fast boot drive for your gaming rig. Whichever you're buying it for, you won't find it cheaper before the end of the sales this weekend.

Switch/ Steam Deck Micro SD Card for $55

Looking for the best micro SD card for your Switch or Steam Deck? Then look no further, as these are truly the absolute best deals today. For $55 you can get a perfect 1TB micro SD card, or for $88.99 you can score one of our favorite 1.5TB micro SD cards.

My advice? Opt for the 1TB card for just $55, as that's an all-time low and one of the best deals I've ever seen for the Steam Deck. 1TB cards can go from upwards of $90+ even when on sale, so this is a rare opportunity to get a real Black Friday discount. Plus, if you're a Switch owner, there's a decent likelihood that the Switch 2 will run optimized for U3 A2 micro SD cards.

PlayStation VR 2 is $349.99 for Black Friday

Among the standout Cyber Monday deals is the PSVR2 Horizon: Call of the Mountain bundle, now available for just $349—a massive $251 discount. This bundle is an exceptional value, as it includes the headset and one of the best games to highlight its capabilities, all for the same price as the standalone PSVR2 during this sale.

At this reduced price, the PSVR2 is a compelling alternative to budget-friendly VR options like the Meta Quest, offering a premium virtual reality experience at a more accessible cost. Whether you’re upgrading from an older VR setup or trying VR for the first time, this deal provides a high-performance option that’s hard to overlook. For those eager to step into immersive gaming, now is the perfect time to take the plunge.

Metaphor: ReFantazio for $49.99

Among the standout offers for gamers is Metaphor: ReFantazio, the critically acclaimed RPG that launched to rave reviews in October, and has even got a nod for 'Best Game' at the Game of the Year Awards.

For a limited time, you can snag the game for $20 off on PS5 and Xbox platforms, down to just $49.99. Whether you've been holding out for it to go on sale or want the best price when picking it up as a gift, this is likely the lowest we’ll see before Christmas.

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 for $49.99

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 has a phenomenal campaign that you can play either single-player or with up to three friends. The story is nice and twisty, pitting you and your fellow futuristic military men against the alien Tyranid forces.

Once you’re done with the campaign, there’s a whole lot of cosmetic gear and armor colors you can collect by playing co-op missions or online multiplayer matches. The whole game is just a great shooter that delivers on the fundamentals. Plus, it looks fantastic, having left behind the previous generation of consoles. You can read IGN's Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 review for more details to see whether it’ll appeal to you. We loved it, though, giving it an 8 out of 10.

Samsung Odyssey Monitor for $1500

Perhaps the best Cyber Monday deal on a high-end gaming monitor has arrived. Amazon is offering the massive 57" Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 Dual 4K UHD gaming monitor at the exclusive price of $1,479.99.

That's $120 less than everyone else's gaming monitor Cyber Monday deal and nearly 50% off the retail price. Keep in mind that there is no other monitor to compare it with. If you're looking for the biggest and sharpest super ultra-wide gaming monitor on the planet, this would be it right here. Just make sure that your GPU is up to snuff.

What is Cyber Monday?

Traditionally, Black Friday was the in-store shopping frenzy, while Cyber Monday focused on online deals. While those lines have blurred, Cyber Monday remains the top event for online-focused retailers like Amazon, Newegg, Dell, HP, and Lenovo. Even traditional retailers like Best Buy, Target, and Walmart roll out exclusive online-only offers. Switch and PS5 deals are also now live.

Many of the same deals from Black Friday normally return for Cyber Monday 2024, including some that sold out or expired. Retailers often stagger their inventory, reserving stock for each major sale event. This means Cyber Monday will bring back popular deals alongside brand-new, never-before-seen offers. But, most importantly, Cyber Monday is the final day of the Black Friday, November, sale season, with all the deals going with it.
