Without spoiling too much, Blue Prince has you building a mansion, room by room, until you’ve run out of resources. Each room can contain a mixture of resources, puzzles to solve, or seemingly unrelated clues to things you haven’t discovered yet. Every room you place inches you closer to your final objective but also contains a tantalizing array of mysteries to solve.
Blue Prince has drawn a lot of immediate comparisons to other eccentric puzzle games like Myst or Lorelei and the Laser Eyes by rewarding judicious note-taking and attention to detail. However, because of its roguelike nature, the way you arrive at specific solutions for certain puzzles can be drastically different from one playthrough to another.
