Pokémon Go ‘Might and Mastery’ seasonal Special Research and rewards

Pokémon Go’s “Might and Mighty” Special Research activated on March 5, allowing players to complete a bunch of tasks in exchange for free rewards — including a Dynamax Kubfu.

You’ll need to login and start this research before Tuesday, June 3, at 9:59 a.m. in your local time in order to get it, but once you claim it, you can complete it freely on your own time with no worries about it expiring.

Note that this research will only give you one Kubfu, so you will have to pick between which version of Urshifu you want down the line: Single Strike or Rapid Strike? As mentioned, it’s a Dynamax Kubfu, meaning that it can be used in Max Battles.

If you really want both forms for collection reasons, you can also pay $8 (?) for an additional “Fuzzy Fighter” Special Research which will give you an additional Kubfu, as well as some item rewards. You can only buy this ticket from March 5 until March 10 at 8 p.m in your local time.

Either way, you can’t evolve your Kubfu yet, even if you get the candy for it. The evolution will likely unlock when more steps of the research come out.

• Explore 3 km (15 Poké Balls)
• Defeat 3 Team Go Rocket members (5 Revives)
• Use a super effective Charged Attack (1 Fast TM)

Rewards: Dynamax Kubfu encounter, 891 XP

‘Might and Mastery’ step 2 of 5

• Win 3 raids (3,000 Stardust)
• Spin 30 PokéStops or gyms (3,000 Stardust)
• Power up a Pokémon 10 times (3,000 Stardust)
• Earn 25,000 XP (2 Rare Candy)

Rewards: 25 Kubfu Candy, 891 XP
