How to change display name in Black Ops 6

Changing your display name in Black Ops 6 is something you can do in one of two ways.

This is useful for whose display name is something they set up years ago on Battle.net, or if they recently set up an Activision account and have since changed their mind.

Luckily, you can change your name to anything you want, as long as it follows the guidelines — but know you can’t change it regularly, so be sure with your decision!

How to change display name in Black Ops 6

There are two ways to change your name in Black Ops 6 — in-game and in a web browser.

Change your name in-game

1. Open the Settings menu and choose “Account & Network.”
2. Select the “Activision Account” tab, which will bring you to a screen with your Activision ID, Display Name, and associated email.
3. Click on the “Change Display Name” button.
4. Type in your new desired display name and press “Confirm” to save.

Change your name in a browser

1. Visit the Call of Duty website and log in to your Activision account.
2. Select the “Basic Info” tab on the left side of the browser.
3. Click the “Edit” button next to your Activision ID, which will send a verification code to the email associated to your Activision account.
4. Enter the verification code and click the “Edit” button again.
5. Type in your new desired display name and press the “Save” button.
6. Type in your password and press “Submit” to save.

How often can you change your name in Black Ops 6?

Display names can be changed by using rename tokens. You will start with two tokens, and earn one rename token every six months. These tokens function the same both in-game and on a browser, so make sure you change your display name to something you like, or else you may have to wait half a year.
