How to ‘Quickly break the bounds of space and find love’ in Vampire Survivors

“Quickly break the bounds of space and find love” is the hint for a secret added in Patch 1.13 for Vampire Survivors, the same patch that added the Gaze of Gaea weapon and The Coop map. This secret requires quite a bit of finagling, and — depending on the characters you have access to — you may need to break the game to get it.

In this Vampire Survivors guide, we’ll teach you how to glitch through wall barriers and find the secret heart in Space 54 to unlock the “quickly break the bounds of space and find love” secret and the Space Dette character.

How to break out of the map in Vampire Survivors

To complete this secret, you’ll need to find a hidden location on the Space 54 map that’s out of bounds from the normal confines of the map.

There are two main options to reach this secret. First, you can use a character that “ignores walls,” like Gyoruntin. However, the only character I had with the ability to move through walls was Ghost Lino from the Among Us DLC. When I used Ghost Lino to hunt for this secret, it wasn’t there for unknown reasons, so I opted for the more difficult option: glitch through the wall, which is actually quite a bit easier than it sounds.

Before doing anything else, you should unlock Space Dude by surviving for 20 minutes on Space 54. It’s unclear if the secret only spawns after you unlock Space Dude, but that’s when we found it, so better safe than sorry. We also used Space Dude to get out of the map, just to be safe, but other players seem to have found this secret using other characters.

After you’ve completed Space 54 at least once, head to The Coop map (which you can unlock by picking up 500 Floor Chickens over the course of your Vampire Survivors career). Push right along the map until you find the relic there — the Roast Chicken with a Clock in the Middle — which allows you to drastically increase the game speed.

When you’ve done everything above, pick Space Dude, select Space 54 (toggle Hyper mode on), and load into the map. Immediately crank the game speed up to the max, and push yourself into one of the corner areas on the starting platform (shown in the image above). The goal here is to make the game go very quickly — which you’ve already done with Hyper mode and the game speed increase — which will cause it to glitch when too many enemies come on screen. Continue pushing against the wall and let enemies come to you. Eventually, when enough starts happening, your character will clip through the wall and you’ll be free in space.

Where to find the ‘quickly break the bounds of space and find love’ secret

After you clip through the bottom right wall in Space 54, you want to head southeast from the main platform. On the map, your little star should be just to the bottom-right of the merchant’s hand (see the image above for the exact location).

You’re looking for a pink platform in the middle of space, which will have a beating heart resting on top of it — the same heart as the Pummarola passive item. Walk into it to collect it and solve the “quickly break the bounds of space and find love” secret. This will unlock the ability to purchase the Space Dette character, the companion to Space Dude.

Space Dette starts with the Photonstorm weapon, and her passive is that her starting weapon grows stronger as she levels up and she also gets more “fans” from defeating a large number of enemies. She also has 40% increased movement speed.
