Oh, thank goodness — the Fortnite developers restored the “Ready Up” button on Tuesday. Players no longer have to return to the main lobby every time they want to queue up for another match.

The Fortnite Status account on X shared the update on Tuesday morning. The tweet said, “We’ve issued a fix that re-enabled the ‘Ready Up’ button seen on the post-match screen!” Polygon launched Fortnite and confirmed that the button was functional again at the time of publication.

The “Ready Up” button is a special menu option that appears at the end of a round of Fortnite. It allows players to load into another game directly from the previous match. The developers removed the button on Dec. 1 due to technical issues. Since then, players have had to go back to the lobby each time they want to reup for another match.

Fortnite has seen a record-breaking number of players the past few weeks. A concert on Nov. 30 featuring the late Juice WLRD set the record as the most viewed Fortnite event ever. The following day, Epic Games launched a major update and the Chapter 6 Season 1 patch introduced an entirely new map and loot pool inspired by Japan. Then on Dec. 6, the developers also released the highly-anticipated Fortnite OG mode, and it garnered more than a million players within an hour of launching.
